nastynate... this has been gone over a hundred times, it really depends on what your goals are. If you are playing for a living, alot of the guys use 100+ buy ins. If you are playing casually or semi-professionally, but on a serious level with decently high stakes, I think most around here use 50-100 buy ins. If you are just trying to move up quickly, there were some posts by TRNixon explaining a 10 buy in strategy that could assist you with this if your winrate is solid, but I think the average HU player who hasnt turned it into his #1 game or anything, would probably be somewhere around 30 buy ins to be comfortable.
