3-8 theorem formerly known as 5-10, says you can call 3% of your stack based on positional advantage, and not more than 8%, and in between 3-8 is a grey area. So you'd be calling $2.50 which is more than 10%, so don't call. I think it is closer if you are OTB and villain is SB here, because more of a chance they are 3betting light. In that case, I sometimes call here and float flop, sometimes 4bet. But I think folding is best here due to size of 3bet, and b/c you represent a stronger hand opening from UTG than from anywhere else, so this should be the tight end of a loose 3betting range.
