Re: Is the Continental Breakfast the worst idea ever?

It's also an odd name. Which continent do they mean? Do they mean intercontinental? Doesn't matter waht cantinent your on, it's still a crappy breakfast.

The European continent. French, Italians tend to eat an assortment of meats, cheeses, breads for breakfast. What we typically eat is the American version of the English Breakfast--eggs, sausuages, bacon, etc. I got the chance to try a real English Breakfast at an expensive hotel in London a while back. I was very excited about it. Everything was kind of like what an American would be used to, but slightly different, and a lot more greasy and disgusting--for about $36--a real steal.
Note: my disdain for English Breakfast is all based on my extremely small sample size consisting of the Marriot Rennassaince by the airport.
