Default Re: Anyone know anything about Bayou poker?

Hi everyone,

As previously noted on 2+2, the Ongame Network Ombudsman can not be expected to respond directly to threads in forums since monitoring and responding to issues across every single one of the world's major poker forums is simply too big of an undertaking.

But since we are still working on giving the Ombudsman a proper home where you players can easily report complaints against Ongame Network contracted partner sites, we will continue to make occasional exceptions for 2+2 members.

Unfortunately there is little else we can say in the matter of Futurebet skins that we have not already stated.

A decision was taken by us to terminate the contract with Futurebet since they did not uphold a sufficient standard of player services and deviated from certain business practises we require that all partner sites abide by.

Upon termination of the relationship, we finalized all player transactions and ended our relationship with Futurebet.

What happened to those funds after that is, sadly, impossible for us to control. So despite our best intentions to help players locate their missing funds and restore our own reputation (because we certainly take partial blame whenever one of our contracted partner sites misbehaves) there isn't anything we can do. Not anything that we have been able to think of so far anyway.

In theory, any player who was a customer of Futurebet could claim that they have not been able to recover their funds.

a) We cannot verify such claims.

b) We are predominately a technical provider of virtual poker rooms. Player services in the form of Support, Payments etc are always the responsibility of our contracted partner sites.

We have in the past and will continue to deeply regret the fact that rogue skins were able to severe the network's reputation and mistreat players in the gravest fashion.

We have completely re-worked certain routines to ensure that should a similar situation arise in the future, we will retain some power over contracted partner sites even after we decide to terminate their contract.

If there is any way in which we can assist you players in recovering any missing funds, we are certainly willing to listen.

To be frank, any player who still has not been able to recover his or her funds has suffered the worst of bad beats. To the extent that players hold us partly responsible for it (fair enough), we can only offer our apologies and our assistance if possible.

We would also like to apologize in advance to anyone who interprets this statement as a defence of our own actions in this matter. It isn’t. We are simply trying to offer some insight into it.

Does that help players recover any funds? No. Is it better than not commenting on it at all? We certainly hope so.

Thank you for taking the time to read this extensive statement and good luck at the tables.

This thread will continue to be monitored.

Sincerely,

The Ombudsman
