The distance wouldn't matter as much, but it's more like "wtf am I spending 5 hours on traffic-infested freeways for so I can come deal with this." When I left I asked when she was gonna come visit me in MP, she said she was really busy with school until her finals are over but maybe then. I'm not really gonna plan to go up to see her again, but if she calls and wants to come visit when she has time then that's fine I guess.
