Someone needs to pay another visit to their English teacher...
From the Dictionary, definition/usage of their:
"(used after an indefinite singular antecedent in place of the definite masculine form his or the definite feminine form her): Someone left their book on the table. Did everyone bring their lunch?"
Bottom Line: The use of "their" is grammaticaly appropriate following the use of the indefinite singular antecedent, "this user".
