Now it really makes sense. If you aren't american, you just found out about poker 5 years ago and you certainly don't know anything other than PLO or NLHE.

Lowball is quintessential poker. It's been around longer than NLHE and dominated vegas prior to NLHE. KCL was one of the original five games played at the first WSOP. In 71, when it came time to decide which game would comprise the Main Event, it came down to KCL or NLHE.

KCL is widely established and is never compared to wild-card stud variants except by the most ignorant.
