From a programming standpoint, I think it would be easier for them to take their 7 card stud engine and implement follow the queen than it would be to take their triple draw engine and implement KCL.

KCL is just no limit triple draw with two fewer rounds. Since they already have NL TD, there's virtually no programming effort involved.

Yes, and follow the queen is just seven card stud with a different hand evaluator algorithm.

Let's add 5 card draw where the dealer gets to frame a card before the deal!!

The only time that Binion's spread KCL as a $1500 freeze-out at the WSOP, it drew 111 entrants. The same year Triple Draw only drew 89 and Razz drew 120.

The $5,000 rebuy KCL event has been drawing more and more competitors since it's been spread and is considered the toughest bracelet to win at the WSOP.

You somehow keep suggeting that KCL is an "odd game", yet it's a WSOP event and it's spread in a ton of casinos, though mostly in the west. Maybe you're an east coaster, but to suggest that KCL is less popular than Razz or TD seems a bit silly to anyone that is aware of the game and how much it's played.

Let me address your points individually:

1) The only time that Binion's spread KCL as a $1500 freeze-out at the WSOP, it drew 111 entrants. The same year Triple Draw only drew 89 and Razz drew 120.

So you're saying that razz drew more entrants, and that the TD event with a ?higher? buy-in drew less.

2) The $5,000 rebuy KCL event has been drawing more and more competitors since it's been spread and is considered the toughest bracelet to win at the WSOP.

Although it is drawing more and more entrants every year, I think that the field that it does draw would be the most difficult to survive through regardless of which game is being played.

3) You somehow keep suggeting that KCL is an "odd game", yet it's a WSOP event and it's spread in a ton of casinos, though mostly in the west.

Is the west coast casino crowd stars primary target market? Do you think that more people are familiar with crazy wild card games or KCL?

3a) You somehow keep suggeting that KCL is an "odd game", yet it's a WSOP event and it's spread in a ton of casinos, though mostly in the west.

I guess I have been suggesting that seeing as how I've only made sarcastic replies in this thread. My main concern is that fish will lose their money too quickly playing this game, and that in the current online poker environment I would prefer they dump their cash elsewhere. I don't mind if Stars adds KCL, I'd just like to see it happen in November or ideally 2008.

4) Maybe you're an east coaster

Funny american comment, the world is only comprised of one continent after all.
