But we're talking $70M dollar payrolls, having a very public profile, millions of fans criticizing your every move, and all the pressure that comes with it. When your ass is on the line can you really call up other GMs to work a career saving trade?

I'm not saying current GMs are great. We know from sports that for some reason, sports franchises don't run exactly like the business world. It's a boys club to some degree, and that's why McHale and Isiah and Baylor all have jobs at this point. I'm just saying the job is probably a lot harder than we give it credit for, and it's also probably a lot less fun.

Maybe. Again, the fact people LIKE mchale isiah doc bird have big positions is what makes me think i can do better.
