When she balances the cashier at the end of her shift she will be short $1000 and it's coming out of her pocket in addition to the fact that she might lose her job. It would be different if the slot machine [censored] up and gave him an extra 1k. In this case he knows by walking away he is effectively taking $1,000 from her. I've worked at a bank and made smaller but similar mistakes, and it's always a relief to have a customer correct me. Please return the money if this happens to you.
