10-9 is really all I'm worried about here. If he has 9/4--and he well could have since he was in the SB--he played like a fool and that's poker, as they say. Don't know why anyone would limp with 44 short-handed unless they plain don't know what they're doing. Of course at these stakes, again, that's entirely possible. It's negative equity in the long run if you worry too much though.

Not sure I raise with under-full here when board pairs on the end. Given there were no obvious monster draws, he had to have hit that flop and/or turn pretty hard to make those plays .. well unless he's bluffing.

4-handed I don't see how you get away from this. You might get away in a full ring game if it had been a limped multi-way pot depending on table image of opponent.

So what happened?
