I think it helps a lot to know which of the flop cards are the two diamonds. If it's Kc 9d Xd then anything like KJdd KQdd KTdd makes sense. If it's Kd 9c Xd then T9dd etc could be his hand. And he could have AK, because as you say "post-flop you might have played this the same way" - that comment would rule out QJdd JTdd QTdd etc. which should check behind and take the free card against a field.
But really, how can you expect anyone to pinpoint guess his hand?
