At best you have a guilty motorcycle, not a guilty person. With most helmets, the cop can't ID the rider if they didn't catch him.

that and in most places the placement of the license plate on a motorcycle is not very regulated. In the picture below the red arrow is pointing to the stock location of the license plate bracket, but in a lot of places its perfectly legal to mount your plates tucked way away where the yellow arrow points.
Pretty much the only time a cop is reading your plates is when he has you stopped.
