This spot is uncool because of your equity against his range. If you weigh the hands you are behind about half versus the hands you are ahead of, then you're about 50/50 against his range. The reason is that you're 60/40 against fd+gutter/OESD+fd, while you are wayyy behind AT/99/TT. You're way ahead of T9 though.

So I think it comes down to reads. If you feel he is quite likely to repop 99,TT preflop, then you should go with it. If he wouldn't, or if he's less likely to go to war with powerdraws, then I can't fault you for wanting to get away from it because it's probably slightly -EV in that case.


With the money in there, and his huge raise, you can always put him on a draw and go with it, [censored] it, that's why. I'm just saying that from a range and EV point of view, the decision is not that obvious.
