While I agree with a lot of what Tom says, I'm loathe to draw 4 if I have two (or even three) unsuited broadway cards, because it invites people to take shots at me. With merely one pair, I'll take free showdowns all day, thank you very much. Drawing 4, it's my experience, lessens that.
Additionally, drawing 2 or 3 puts you one card closer to making a straight -- a hand no one will give you credit for when you get it.
