Default Re: How Kenny Tran Rates Internet Players

[ QUOTE ]
With all the talk on these forums about OMG SAMPLE SIZE OMG SIZE SAMPLE OMG, what makes anyone think a single match between 5 live players and 5 online players will amount to anything?
This whole debate is ridiculous and will never be settled. Christ.

i totally agree. and i think the results of this year's WSOP
kind of indicate that great poker players come from live and
online.

but lemme add some 2 cents here... there is a different skill
set involved in live vs online play... and from what i've
seen, online players are able to adjust to the live play
skill set fairly easily, while the converse doesn't seem
to be true.

whether who is the best, durrr, raptor, hellmuth or tran...
how many zillions of hands would they have to play against
each other before THAT'S settled ?!

i know if i was a world class player --- ( big if ) ---
i would have almost zero desire to prove myself against
the other best in the world out there. i'd rather just
play the fish and keep myself from getting a heart attack
or ulcers.
