you might be right. Really depends. I just think most hands calling the flop are going to showdown, and there are more non A hands than A hands, and some of the A hands aren't extracting max value anyway.
Not checking mediocre, showdownable hands on the turn might be a leak of mine, though. So not betting definitely has merit.
