FA-18 = short term
JSF = long term

Thats the general idea anyhow. After they finish phasing in the EA-18G, the follow on platform for my airplane, we will have an all Hornet/Super Hornet Naval Air Force. JSF is expected to eventually replace all those. F-22 is the Air Force baby.
