That might be fair. I can't deny that the people are aggravating. One thing that makes them that way is the excessive use of abbreviations. I feel a bit guilty at times for being such a dick about them because I used to be a heavy user myself. However, I learned a long time back that the reason I, and everyone else, used so many abbreviations online was that it was pitifully easy to out type your transmitter on a dialup connection. Even when it came down to mail, people weren't going to gripe about trimming a byte or two when you could. Some people paid for them.
In this day and age where storage and bandwith are cheap, it's time they went the way of the dinosaur.
