Default Re: Hand range for raise on SB when there are limpers

It could be a leak in my game, but I am raising limpers with Axs, any pp, any broadway suited, A8+.

There are many reasons I do this.
First, I am trying to take it down right there. If not, possibly the raise gets me to isolate. Second, just with a c-bet, I get to take down the pot on the flop most of the time. Therefore, by raising you take control of the action. Lastly, limping with pocketpairs is no good, because you don't give yourself a chance to win big pots. By raising if you hit it, it will be well disguised and you have a pot to bet at.

Of course this is not set in stone. If I am getting called too much, I normally adjust my range. But I see no reason not to raise limpers with 22+ from any position.
