The assumption that these guys pay 50% tax on their gross income and that their investments return less than 10% would only be accurate if they file their taxes using TurboTax and manage their portfolios themselves on Etrade.
Even an average tax account would have them at the very least incorporate themselves, and lower their taxable income to as close to $0 as possible.
