Default Re: First hand semibluff

is it really that bad of a play?

if I put me in my opponents shoes I cannot see how he can continue comfortable without a very good hand and I price myself in to call an eventual push and can double or bust directly.

As I said, 3-bet less and fold to a 4-bet. You don't have odds to call with the straight draw. If villain 4-bets, he usually has a big hand like 2-pair or a set. It is OK to sometimes fold a draw on the flop. This is not a strong draw, and you should not be looking to go allin with it.
