Then you tell me, TT, how should the dealer have responded to the "How is he playing?" question? What could he have said or done to meet the impossibly high standard you folks have for dealer comments?

"I'm a dealer, respect me dammit"??? I don't want respect. I just want to be treated like a human being. I just want to be given enough leeway that I don't think to myself, "No matter what I say or do here, I'm wrong in someone's eyes."

All my post was saying is that there are degrees of right and wrong. I'm not saying that any of the dealers mentioned in this thread are right--but I am saying that players often make way too big a deal over the most insignificant things.
