I had the same problem. I get that error after I had entered my username/password into the license pop-up but before i could get a chance to play the video.
The work around i found was to use windows media player to get the license and then winamp to play the video. So open the video normally, enter your username/password. You will get that error but the license will have already been issued. This will allow you to play the vid in winamp. It's a bit of a pain but it works for me, hopefully it does for you too.
