Year in and year out over the last 10 years, the only conference as competitive and with as much talent as the Big 12 is the SEC.

LOL

Based on what?

How many different conference winners have they had in that time?

6 (Nebraska, K State, Colorado, OU, A&M and Texas). 3 national titles (97 Nebraska, 2000 OU and 2005 Texas). I think outside of the SEC you could argue our conference is as deep as any other conference.

A Big 12 team also played (and lost) in the national title game twice (2001 Nebraska & 2004 Oklahoma) during this span.

The SEC also has 3 national champions during this span (Florida 1996, Tennessee 1998, LSU 2003) and two other national title game participants (Tennessee 1997 - loss, Florida - tbd).

No other conference comes close to matching what the Big 12 and SEC have done since 1996. They're the 2 upper echelon power conferences of our recent times.
