Default Re: 4NL top 2 on 4 flush board?

Hey everyone,

I've been lurking here a while, but everybody says lurking doesn't help your game as much as participating, so here goes. I’m trying to practice calculating pot odds, so if somebody who knows what they're talking about wants to critique my answer that'd be swell This one seems pretty black and white, so it’d be good practice.

This looks like a clear fold due to pot odds. If my maths is correct, you have to call 0.96 to win 2.88 (3:1). You have 4 outs to boat up and 1 card to come so your odds of hitting are about 10:1. Counting the 1.86 left in his stack as implied odds, that would still only get you 5:1 on the turn call – still a fold.

I like betting the flop, but I probably would have made it smaller, like 2/3 the pot. You aren’t going to fold out a better hand here and 2/3 will still take it down if you’re ahead and save a little when you’re behind.
