One last comment. With the greats, they're always remembered long after they're gone as the records keep the memory alive.
With the wasted talents, once 20 or so years pass, the only people who remember them are those who saw them play. One could argue that Marvin Barnes was as talented as Michael Jordan, but his propensity for drug use, robbery and carrying guns on airplanes ruined his career.
If you never saw him play, you wouldn't know that. I know who every person on the original list is, and IMO, Barnes was a far greater waste of talent than any of them.
The fact that the person who replied to me is too young to recognize the name Marvin Barnes is completely irrelevant to my opinion.
