Default Re: Tell the worst TURNING PRO STORY you have heard.

[ QUOTE ]
I switched to comm studies (read stopped going to classes) and started playing poker professionally. Online at first then started dominating the 20/40 limit game at resorts Chicago when I hit 21. I come from oil money so the extra 1000 - 2000 a week didn't really make a substantial difference in my life. However, I viewed the cash as free money and started spending it wastefully. This corrupted my values, work ethic, and killed my academic and social life. I didn't start using hard drugs but did make unfortunate decisions like buying high dollar prostitutes (michellesescorts.com), and even having them come to my dorm room to [censored]. I got syphilis from one and that was the straw that broke the camels back. Now I'm ruined.

James,

syphilis is treatable, so why do you now consider yourself ruined? What are some of this things that you bought or some of your other poor decisions? And how were the prostitutes (other than diseased)?

I can see how you are disappointed in some of your decisions. It actually takes some insight to realize that just because you weren't losing at poker and taking drugs that your poker playing didn't have a detrimental effect on your life. Hope you turn things around.
