I think these are all good and somewhat interesting. I found most of the "good" literature that is typically taught in HS just goes way over most kids heads, including mine. I really didn't understand any Shakespeare, Chaucer, Beowulf, Grendel, or any of the other "must teach" type books and still don't really. FWIW, I'm 20 and usually understood what we read better than most of my class in high school.
