Installation
Ok, same deal as in the other thread linked above for how to use the batch file. if you are using Pokes Poker, all you have to do is unzip the Poker.zip into C:\Program Files. If you have a different skin, you may need to edit the line "StartPoker.exe" in the batch file to reflect the name of your skin's executable. I think (but I'm not sure) the remaining paths are the same. If not, you'll have to edit the other lines as well.

Also, if you want to start from your desktop, just right-click the batch file, do "create shortcut," and then drop the new shortcut onto the desktop.

NOTE In the original installation, there were more sounds than exist in my "Sounds/originals" folder. The files that exist in the orig folder are those that are re-downloaded each time the program is run. It may be necessary to delete all the files in the "Resources/Sounds" directory immediately after installation. This is what I did, but it only has to be done one time.

Customization

I deleted all sounds except for:
1) Cards shuffling (shuffle_deck.wav)
2) Alert that the action is on you (your_turn.wav)
3) Final alert that your time is about to expire and your hand will be folded (wake_up.wav)
4) Winning the pot -- I like that one! (win_pot.wav)

If you wish to add back any more sounds, simply drop the corresponding file from the /Sounds/orginals folder into the Sounds/mod folder. Likewise, to remove any of the 4 sounds I kept, simply copy one of the blank sounds (they are just empty 0 byte files), delete the file you want to remove, and then rename the copy of the blank file to the name of the file you just deleted.

You can similarly customize the background image and create other card mods. My version of the waffle cards are slightly distorted due to resizing. If any photoshop guru recreates that mod to be smoother, please post your new mod and PM me.

Hope you enjoy this,
gm
