Default Re: 400nl - Good Bluff?

i reallly really hate your raise pre. And if u are gonna make it i'd raise it to like 20

i would just bet the river if i were gonna bluff. I think the river check sucks if its with the intention of raising (i.e. if you checked BECAUSE U WANTED him to bet SO u could raise), because i think he checks behind with like his whole range.

That obviously said, honestly i don't think he bets this river without a Q/5/bluff, which means your raise is a straight up math problem as to his frequency to bet tiny on the river as a bluff, because i think it silly to assume that he folds a five.

So what does he bluff? What possible hands can he bluff here? I think if he calls the turn with a small pair like 88, then its because he thinks he's good, so he's gonna take a showdown when you check the river. Honestly unless he's high level enough to turn a decent hand into a bluff here (you gave no reads so i would assume not), i'd guess that he pretty much always has a Q or a 5 when he bets.

So since you are basically trying to get him to fold a bluff, which not just c/r to 155 or something?

cliffnotes, bet flop c/f turn or bet bet bet are your two options imo, and your river check sucks unless you are giving up, because you can't expect him to ever bet here really, and as played your raise sucks as well imo.
