No open limping in 6max. You may have to fold sometimes PF to a 3bet, but this is offset by having the initiative when you get called and see a flop and can cbet and take it down UI. I think you get more value out of raising and taking it down PF or on the flop UI with a cbet than you lose on the occations you have to fold to 3bet. If you just limp and get called or someone raises you from CO or OTB, then if you don't hit a set, you have to give up. LAGs love raising limpers with ATC, and if you call, you're OOP on the flop, and even though you'll often have the best hand, the LAG will take it down with a cbet you usually can't call, and this is huge -EV for you.
