look PNL1 isn't for you guys.

This is the key. There was a lot of talk/hype around this book prior to release, which I think is what feeds the disappointment. Unfortunately, it appears the advanced stuff won't be coming out till the future volumes are released. For players that have read 2+2 for a while and played a lot of hands while thinking about the game, there isn't much groundbreaking stuff here.

But this book doesn't suck. Think about how useful this book is for the weak players that donate a lot of money. I sure hope they don't read it! The idea of "planning your hand," REM, and commitment thresholds will quickly take a donator and make them a much better player, as it helps them clearly see their most costly mistakes. PNL1 is quite good, it's just not that good for a lot of us.
