If a cop is arresting somebody or acting to prevent the commission of "any offense" he can order you to assist him. I guess you could consider this a form of detention, but I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this one. I can see why this generally seems reasonable if there is a life-threatening situation, but "any offense" seems a little broad.
