Everyone at my school was required to play sports (except me, the musical director got me out of it).
I had something called music alternative after school at my school, which was practicing for an hour after school and then going home early, with a recital at the end of the semester and the idea that I would practice towards districts/allstate.
1 hour of saxophone a day 5 days a week (really just half an hour and bumming around in a practice room the rest of the time)>>>>>>>>stupid long practices and games on weekends for sports I suck at
