Default Re: Split aces (blah)

If the guy with 44 does not have trips, you do not want him out, do you see why? He currently has no draw, and if he makes 2 pair he still loses unless he has an A and catches the case A. His only chance to beat you is a 2 outter to trips. *let him draw at it*

But anyway, he doesn't have 1 pair, he probably has 2 pair or trips. Given 4th st action I'm guessing trips. What do you put him on when he check-3bets the 2 of you after you double-bet raise the guy wit 2 hearts? Please don't say "nothing"

5th is bad because the guy you think you're trying to knock out is between the bettor and you, and he's already called 1 bet, so he'll call one more, unless you're hoping Mr 44 will re-raise and face him with 2, in which case YOU should fold. Seriously.

I understand what you're going for, but in situations where you can not force someone to fold, it's not a good idea to endlessly throw money at the situation hoping they'll fold. The outcome will be the same. If you're a money favorite, bet and raise for value, if you're not, keep the pot small and look for an opportunity for your opponents to make a mistake.
