1/2 NL live nut straight sees river pair
Live 1/2 at Hustler (50-100 buy in)
Villain is on my left - pretty new to the game. Knows the basics, is friendly, but appears to lack in depth knowledge. Play is fairly weak and passive.
My image is tight/strong.
Relevant Stacks:
Hero: $150 (having just suffered a series of suck outs)
Villain: 80 ish. in CO.
Hero is in hijack with QT
A few limpers, Hero makes a small raise to 6 (might have been 8) (for variety - my raises in this game are usually 10 to 15 - but this is a weak starting hand, and I'm playing it for variation purposes).
Villain calls, all limpers fold.
FLOP: 9 6 J rainbow.
Pot: About $15
Hero semi bluffs out with $12. Villain calls.
Turn: 8
Hero checks, Villain bets $10. Hero raises to $30 (I'm wondering if I should have just pushed here, but I'm thinking I want a call and I think $30 is the max he'll go)
Villain thinks for awhile and calls.
RIVER: J
Hero?
If hero checks, and villain pushes all in for his last $30, then hero?
