How does a bet of $22 into a pot of $51 protect against a flush draw? Even in position that's offering some juicy implied odds. To really protect against it, I would think it would be necessary to bet more like 3/4 pot and also feel fine about felting 2nd pair on that turn and almost all non- rivers.

True. I don't look close enough at bet sizing in these HH. As played, the bet really doesn't have much purpose at all. Like you said it doesn't really price them out, while it isn't a great spot to bet strictly for value.
