actually as small dogs go, bichons are pretty good. all the ones i have known are not yappy and have a good temperament. but they are still little and helpless and the fact they are white means they always look dirty unless you are a jerk who never lets them outside or a freak who gives his dog a bath five times a week.
but i have come into contact with several bichons and never wanted to drop kick any of them, which is more than i can say for most small dogs.
