Wouldn't a raise be best if BB were a tight player?

I didn't see any read posted and its a $3.40 so prob best to just assume BB is loose.

Say he's fairly tight. You raise, he calls.

Flop comes KQ high. He checks.

Are you ahead? Are you still going to push? See the dilemma? You get more money in with the go and go but you quite often hit flops that make you go OMG.

You are thinking the upside is that you don't go bust against the hands you don't want to be called by; I am thinking the downside is that you don't fold out some of his range that a push would make fold, and those hands can now draw out on you on the flop. Of course, there's extra upside from getting calls from KQ/KJ, which would fold, and flopping it T high. I'm not smart enough to figure out which is better, but I do know that I hate flopping overcards sufficiently that I just push.

Edit: This is considering only whether he calls. A thinking villain is going to push over you a ton here. I note that Niggel wants to fold to the push. In this spot though, most of what villain pushes over is behind you, and you are just handing him chips.
