FYI, the current act (laws.justice.gc.ca) reads:
wilfully and knowingly sends, transmits, delivers or receives any message by radio, telegraph, telephone, mail or express that conveys any information relating to book-making, pool-selling, betting or wagering, or that is intended to assist in book-making, pool-selling, betting or wagering; or
If this is true, the intent seems to be to close the loophole that allows people to broadcast/spam information over the Internet regarding sports books within Canada. Unless you're the Lottery Corporation licensed by the Province, of course ... f***ing hypocrites.
