I was merely trying to get the outlines for this discussion set straight.

Oftentimes, we will have FE. Also, totally discounting FE, our uncertainity in assigning a range to villain will bring a great deal of uncertainity to our equity against said range.

But, discussing this hypothetical scenario - the answer is definitely "it depends".

Stack size IS important, stack depth isn't.
That is, with stacks 6k 4k 2k (hero) 500 500 500 a double up is worth way less than in a scenario 3.5k 2k (hero) 2k 2k 2k 2k.

Generally speaking, even with a little overlay, a double up 6-handed is worth quite a bit less than double the initial stack.

So, no, 50% equity should NOT be sufficient usually.
