do not go through fargo bismarck dickinson it is the flattest, no trees, nothing but prairie, worst 6 hour interstate drive possible and nothing fun exists west of fargo or minneapolis this time of year for that matter. I would hit up a little farther south go through south dakota possibly a detour to deadwood and head through yellowstone. Much more scenic with mount rushmore, the badlands, crazy horse, etc. although both lack a lot of fun stuff.
