So I live in a safe neighborhood, less than a block from the police station, with children in the house, and there's little I own that I'd want to risk my or anyone else's life for. But I am irresponsible because I don't have a gun. Sheeesh. I fully support the right for you to be armed. I also fully support the right to be unarmed.

Edit: Oh and I didn't even mention my 100 lb German Shepherd.

Listen, I stated my opinion. If you want to be unarmed, go right ahead. If you're too stupid to realize you're putting your family at risk, that's an argument worth having. If you're just willing to admit that a dog provides enough safety to make you comfortable, we'll agree to disagree.

I will argue with you if you think you don't "need" a weapon to be safe though.
