Default Re: if you were the last person on earth

Would there be some level of destruction that you'd expect from everyone else being killed? Or are we just assuming the world as we know it would be in tact, but everyone else would be gone?

Cause the latter would be an awesome time.

The first thing I would probably do is smoke a blunt and drink a nice bottle of scotch in the oval office. I'd probably even video tape myself doing this, deliver a speech, and smoke another blunt watching it later.

I would then be de facto King of the World, and my official title wouldn't matter too much to me.

Next I'd probably go to NYC before the food has time to spoil, and explore some of the kitchens of the finest restaurants. I would make myself some nice meals, and dine in luxury.

I'd of course explore all sorts of government buildings and documents I could get my hands on and find out what their secrets were. I'd definitely explore my neighbors' houses too.

Eventually I would probably try to befriend primates. My dog would keep me good company for a little while, but I feel like I'd get some bipedal nostalgia and really dig an upright friend. I could learn to swing from trees, he could learn the alphabet. Good times all around.

I don't think I'd ever screw a monkey, since I know enough biology to know my efforts would be fruitless, but I would probably spend a lot of time in a lab trying to figure out how to bring a baby me to life. I'm guessing this is possible.

After that I would spend a lot of time relaxing, living the life of a latter day nomad. Life would be easy, since I could raid freezers for food for a couple years while I hone my hunting strategy. I'd be so rich (but of course, rapidly lose material wealth, but it wouldn't matter to me).

I'd never be able to leave North America, because I don't know how to fly or ride a boat (and ain't about to die trying). But that's a small price to pay for the awesomeness that would ensue.
