Incidentally, six days later I see the hotel still haven't charged me for my stay.

When I checked in, I paid the £70 bill straight away using my Visa bank card. The evening shift guy gave me the receipt that was printed by their machine. Yet the money hasn't left my bank account. They haven't emailed me to ask about it.

I am pretty broke, but fair's fair - I stayed there, I bought the services, I wouldn't consider nto paying for it. Obviously, I should phone them up and tell them they didn't charge me - or, rather, that they did charge me, but nothing went out of my bank.

Another thought hits me - maybe they got paid, but nothing left my bank yet, and it will be noticed by Visa and disappear from my account / plunge me into overdraft at some inopportune time in the next few days.

I am pretty broke at the moment, for obvious reasons, so it might be helpful if I could wait till next payday before calling them.
