a-basin is crap. the only reason that place exists is bc someone wanted the highest (in altitude) ski area in north america. it's near 14k feet, but I'll dump it like 72o any day. Vail is beautiful, but full of snobby pricks. I'd rather deal with the Aspen snobs for the mtn. Breck is a sick town on top of a great hill. one sec, kk utg. you might consider a Winter park/Mary Jane pass. sick mountain, cool town and not so far to drive.

I don't see why you dislike vail so much. The price sucks but it's not like you're forced to deal with any of the rich douche bags. Agree that Winter Park is the prob the best in terms of closeness and niceness. If I could go anywhere it'd be steamboat...which is coincidentally where I"m going for x-mas for a week. boo yah. Also just got my Colorado pass, $400 for season passes to like 3 different places plus 10 days at vail/BC
