It's well known that something like 99.5% of taserings don't result in death, so I don't see what your point is.

You didn't actually address any of my points.

If you'd read the article, you'd see that enzymes were detected in their blood which were consistent with heart damage. So there IS a mechanism for damage that doesn't involve instant death.

It should be incredibly obvious that putting someone in intense unnatural pain and sending a current through all their tissues is going to increase the risk of death in some individuals.

Again, what do you propose lead to his death if not the effects of the taser?
