Surprised nobody suggested Reno

Last time I was in Reno, a tumblweed rolled across Virginia St. and did some minor damage to my NSX. It is a ghosttown! But I hear it is easy to win some cool prizes at Circus Circus.

And when was this? Last time I was there, beginning of October, the Nugget had two 3/6 games and a 1/2 NL. GSR (formely Hilton) had about 20 STT's and a MTT going. Plus 1/2 NL, I think a 2/5 NL, a couple of 4/8's and 10/20.

It ain't Vegas, but the games are pretty good. Plus you have all the other casino games, inexpensive lodging, etc.

Beginning of October is the fall Pot of Gold at the MGM, er Bally's, er Hilton, er, I mean Grand Sierra Resort (at least it was last week, who knows what it will be next?). Tourney time is busy, but that is only 4 times a year. The WPT in the spring is the biggest.

The rest of the year (except maybe when the bowlers are there?), Reno is a poker ghost town.
