the money was given to him. If I was given $1000 less by casino staff when cashing out, didn't realise until I got home, would I expect them to give me the $1000 the next day?
Even if they were fully aware that they were up by $1000 the previous day, and knew that it was quite probable that this occured, I really doubt that they would give me my 1000.
And who knows, the lady might even have pocketed the money when counting up for the night and realizing she was $1000 in the black.
Simple facts are: OP's friend was given 1000 dollars. He did not purposely seek the money or willingly take it from anybody. He was handed the money. Holla.
